Tears filled my eyes as I stared at the screen. Bundled in a sweet teddy bear blanket was a sleeping baby girl who knew nothing about what this world was going to bring to her. A precious girl whose world be turned upside down in just a few short weeks after the photo was taken.

I just received one of the most priceless gifts one can receive……. a photo that…. no matter how much money I spent or how much time I spent…. absolutely cannot be recreated. I received a photo of my daughter as a newborn. See, I did not give birth to the precious angel I call my daughter. While I am blessed to be able to be called her mommy, another woman had the privilege of bringing her into the world. I will never, ever forget that. And today, one of her family members was kind enough to share this image with me. I cannot begin to tell you how much that kind gesture meant to me.
